Add a Sentiment

 Hi crafters,

Can you believe it's the last day of August already?!!  It's also time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Linda has given us the fab theme of 'Add a Sentiment'.

We are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

We were lucky enough to have one of their images to use on our cards this week and I chose this one called 'Chaz the Chimp'.

'

I've used some distress ink  through a stencil for the background behind the diecut bricks.  I coloured the image with my promarkers and fussy cut it out,  I then stamped and coloured some leaves and added them to the top of the image to look as though the chimp is swinging in the forest!!
I printed the sentiment on the computer in different fonts and added a couple of enamel dots to finish!
I added 'Happy Birthday' to the inside of the card to complete the sentence!!
I hope you'll be able to join in with this week's challenge - we all add sentiments to our cards so I'm sure you'll have a creation to enter.  Don't forget you can use any of your markers - just make sure you follow the theme to be eligible for the prize.
Hugs, Karen x

Add a Tag

 Good morning crafters,

I'm here to let you know about the brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Kitty has chosen the theme 'Add a Tag'.

We are kindly sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

They have some really cute images and the Design Team have used some of their images on their cards this week.

I have used this one called 'With Love'

I've used a layout from a recent workshop (thanks Lisa) and made it quite colourful!  I've added a few layers which actually includes 2 tags!!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and stencilled the background with some distress inks

I found this LOTV sentiment in my stash and the balloons on it were exactly the same shape!! I've inked all the layers and added a bit of string to the white tag behind the image.

I really hope you can join in with this week's challenge.  Remember, you can use any of your markers but don't forget to follow the theme to be eligible for this week's fab prize.

Hugs,

Karen x

Favourite Colours

 Hi crafters,

This summer is starting to fly by isn't it and it's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers

I'm in the hot seat this week and I've chosen the great theme of  'Favourite Colours'.  If you're like me, my favourite colours change from week to week so I hope you'll be able to join in with this challenge!

We are kindly sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps and they are offering the lucky winner a $6.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

I've made this Welsh Birthday card for a daughter in my all time favourite colours which are grey, pink and white.  I just love this colour combo and I've used one of my favourite layouts too!

I've coloured this 'All Dressed Up' image with my promarkers and added lots of glitter as usual!    The grey sparkly paper is gorgeous but you can only just see it!!
I added some diecut flowers and leaves in white as well as a strip of grey ribbon.   Some gem stones for the flower centres were the finishing touches to my card.

I really hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge.  Remember, you can use any of your markers - just let us know what you've used and don't forget to follow the theme.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.

Celebrate

 Hi crafters,

There's a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Elaine has given us the fab theme of 'Celebrate'.

We are kindly sponsored by Sheepski Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 images from their online store.

I've used one of their gorgeous images on my card this week and this one is called 'Littleheart'

This is a Welsh card I made for new Grandparents and this image was absolutely perfect!  I kept to a grey and yellow colour scheme and coloured the cute image with my promarkers.  I added some pink chalk to the baby elephant's ears and cheeks as well as lots of glitter!!

I diecut and inked some yellow flowers and found some grey and yellow buttons to add too!  I diecut the heart banner for the corner and finished off with some pearls here and there.

So, why not join in with this week's great challenge!  Remember, it doesn't have to be a card - it could be any type of creation, but don't forget to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this great prize.

I look forward to visiting your blogs this week!

Animals

Hi crafters,

Another week flies by and it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers.

Our lovely Nat has given us the fab theme of 'Animals' this week and we are very kindly sponsored by JMC Designs who are offering the lucky winner 1 digital collection from their online store.

We were lucky enough to be offered one of their gorgeous images to play with this week and I chose this one entitled 'Deloradocus' (No. 1 Dino)'.
It's such a cute image and I loved colouring this one in!  I used my promarkers for the little dinosaur and added plenty of glitter!  I used a layout from a recent workshop and added plenty of coordinating die cut flowers.  I inked the edges with distress inks and embossed the sentiment in white.

I really hope you can join in with this great challenge this week and remember, you can use any of your markers - just remember to follow the theme to be eligible for the prize draw.

I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations!

Keep it Slim

Hi crafters,

Hope you are all having a good week so far!  I'm here to tell you about our brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers which has been chosen by our lovely Lisa G.   She would like to see your slimline creations this week and we are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's HOS who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

The Design Team were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with this week and I chose this one called 'Hole in One Hal'

My brother is golfing mad so this image is perfect for his birthday card!

I used my distress inks and a cloud stencil to create the sky and I used a wavy border stencil to create the golfing greens!  I didn't want the image to be lost in backing papers so I was very brave and made my own background!!  I diecut a couple of extra clouds and added some birds with a fineline pen.  The sentiment was stamped and I die cut the letters to personalise the card.  I even embossed the card candy to look like golf balls but I don;t think it shows in the photo!

I enjoyed making this shape card - they seem to be very popular at the moment so why not join in with this week's fab challenge.  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers - just let us know what you've used and make sure you follow the theme to be eligible for this great prize.
I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.

Masculine

 Hi crafters,

It's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Linda has given us the fab theme of 'Masculine'.  We are kindly sponsored by Colour of Love and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images form their online store.

I've used one of their images called 'Ten Gallon Ted' for my card this week.

I've used a layout that we had at a recent online workshop (thanks Lisa!) and I coloured the image with my promarkers.  I matched the colours with the papers and added dots to his scarf with a white gel pen so that it matched the dotty paper!  Here's a picture of the card from the side so that you can see the layers a bit better.

I also printed a sentiment from one of Lisa's CD's which matched the colours on the card perfectly!

I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge.  Remember, you can use any of your markers - just make sure you follow the theme to be eligible for this fabulous prize.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeois creations.
Hugs, Karen x
