Pair of heels

Hi crafters,
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
I'm afraid I didn't make as many Christmas cards this year as I'd hoped- never mind, there's always next year!!
This is a card I made for a friend who had a birthday just before Christmas.  I've used the shoe stamp from 'Stamps by Chloe' and I stamped and embossed it on 3 different backing papers. I made matching flowers from Chloe's stamps and used my Go Kreate die to make the base card. I added some feathers and a pearl button to the shoe and finished off with a sentiment.
I'd like to enter this card in the 'Anything Goes' challenge at Creative Inspirations'.
Thanks for looking,
Hugs, Karen

Lili of the Valley

Hi Crafters,

I'm here with a Welsh Birthday card which is an easel card - haven't made an easel card for ages and I'd forgotten how nice they were to make!  I've used a paper pad from Lili of the Valley called 'Always and Forever' which is absolutely gorgeous - every sheet is lovely (almost too nice to use)!  I've used one of their stamps as well and coloured it in with my promarkers.  I added some glossy accents to the jam jar and added a doily behind the image to finish it off.
I'd like to enter my card in the 'Anything Goes' challenge on the LOTV 'Ideas to Inspire' blog.  Thanks for looking and I hope you like my card!

Happy Anniversary House Mouse!

Hi Crafters,

Here's a card I made for my brother and sister in law's Anniversary.  I printed off a gorgeous image from the House Mouse Triple CD and also printed some matching backing paper.  I embossed the centre panel and used a Martha Stewart heart punch for the border.  I made my own flowers and distressed all the paper edges with a Tim Holtz distress ink - Stormy Sky. I also punched the smaller flowers from the backing paper so that everything matched! I added a bit of glitter to the image, tied some ribbon around the panel and stamped an LOTV sentiment.  I'd like to enter my card in the House Mouse and Friends 'Monochrome' challenge. Hope you like my card and thanks for looking,
Hugs, Karen xx

Pink Princess!

Hi Crafters,

This is a Welsh card I made recently for a little girl's Birthday.  She loves princesses and anything pink and girly of course!
I added lots of glitter to the punched leaves, various pink flowers from WOC and some lovely organza ribbon.  I added some pearls to the butterflies and added stickles to the Saturated Canary image which I coloured with my Promarkers.
I'd like to enter this card in the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is "pink and pearly".
I hope she liked the card and thanks for looking,

Sewing House Mouse

Hi Crafters,
I've got something a little bit different this time! I covered an old notebook so that I could keep handy sewing patterns in one place and I'll always know where to find them (in theory anyway)!!
I used a House Mouse stamp from a Joanna Sheen set, coloured it in with my promarkers and used my favourite Maja design papers.  I added a couple of cotton reels made from a Memory Box die and some buttons in colours to match the pink and green theme.  I also wrapped co-ordinating thread on to the cotton reels and I stitched round all the papers with my sewing machine to continue with the stitching theme!! I then found some matching ribbons and wrapped them round the spiral binder.
I'd like to enter this in the Joanna Sheen Challenge which is 'Pretty in Pink'.
Hope you like my little creation and thanks for looking,
Karen xx

Sending Happy Thoughts

Hi crafters,
I made this Birthday card for my niece, Jess, and used one of the gorgeous Saturated Canary images.  I coloured it in with my promarkers and added some stickles here and there!!  The papers are from Maja Design and I stamped a 'Lili of the Valley' stamp for the text.  The flowers are from WOC and I found some heart pins to match the colour scheme perfectly!  I added some pearls to my butterflies but I must have taken the photo before I they were added lol!
I'd like to enter this card in the 'Anything Goes' challenge on the Saturated Canary challenge blog.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like my card!

Golfer Brother Card

Good morning dear crafters,

I have another of those difficult male cards to show you!! I've used a 'Lili of the Valley' stamp and coloured it in with my promarkers.  I distressed the edges a little with Tim Holtz 'Antique Linen' and added a memory box star die.  Couldn't add much more than buttons and some card candy - I nearly added glitter and some corner dies but stopped myself as the card was for my golfing mad brother and I don't think he would appreciate the glitter!!
I'd like to enter my card in the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is 'summertime blues'.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking,
hugs, Karen xx

Sparkly House Mouse

Hi crafters,

Hope you are all enjoying this gorgeous weather - bit too hot to craft though!!  I'm not complaining by the way!!
I've made a card for someone leaving at work and I used the House Mouse Triple CD which is brilliant - there's an image there for any occasion.  I used some gorgeous new papers from First Edition called 'Floral Pavilion' and I added some WOC flowers.  I used my PATP punch from Martha Stewart and finished off with some glitter and pearls.  I'd like to enter my card in the House Mouse and Friends Challenge 'Add some sparkle' - although it doesn't show up very well in the picture.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

CAS Card

Hi Crafters,
Well I'm really not sure about this card, wasn't even sure whether to put it on my blog!  After seeing Lisa's CAS cards recently on her blog, I was inspired to try one myself but I think its too simple!  Tried it with a corner die, some twine and even buttons but had to stop myself and remember that this card was going to be clean and simple!  I wish I was happy with it though because it didn't take very long to make - it looks like it too though doesn't it? Oh well, at least I tried!  I'd like to enter this card in the Joanna Sheen Challenge which is for a 'Father's Day' or male card.  Thanks for looking,
Hugs, Karen xx

18th Girly Card

I made this 18th Birthday Card with a new stamp I got at Port Sunlight - thought it would be handy for my girly cards!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and paper pieced their dresses to match the background papers.  I added some WOC flowers, stickles, matching ribbon and some pearls - job done!
I'd like to enter my card in the Passion for ProMarkers challenge which is 'floral fantasy' (use at least 5 flowers'.

Russian Dolls

Hi crafters,

I've got something a bit different this time!  I was asked to make a card with a Russian doll theme and this is what I came up with - what do you think?
I made them with some Lily of the Valley papers, I used my MS punch and embossed the background behind the dolls.  I punched some flowers and distressed all the edges with Tim Holtz ink.  I coloured the faces with my promarkers but this was the only bit of colouring I did which was a bit weird! I'd like to enter my card in the Joanna Sheen blog challenge which is 'Spots and Stripes'.
Thanks for looking,
Hugs Karen xx

Coffee House Mouse!

Hi Crafters,
I made this House Mouse 60th Birthday Card for a coffee lover and created the sentiment on my PC to tie it in with the image!  I made a gate-fold card for a change and the image is from a House Mouse decoupage sheet.  The flowers are all from WOC and the leaves are a Cheery Lynn die.  I'd like to enter this card in the House Mouse challenge which is 'Flower Power or Flour Power'.

Pamper Yourself

Hi Crafters,

This is a card I made for my sister's Birthday last week.  I love this stamp called 'Alyssa relaxing' from Digi Stamp Boutique, so handy for a girly card. The caption comes with the digistamp so all I needed were some WOC flowers, some stickles for the bubbles and glossy accents on the wine glass and bottle!  I'd like to enter this card in the 'Girls, girls, girls challenge on the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog.

Girly Birthday Card

Hi crafters,
This is a Welsh Birthday card I made for my niece and I've taken inspiration from Lisa's brilliant blog 'Ellas Design'.  Lisa runs a brilliant workshop every month and I learn so much every time - thanks Lisa! (And Sylvia of course!).  I've used a Saturated canary image and coloured it in with my promarkers.  I've used a spellbinder die for the sentiment and the heart die is form Memory Box.  I've used my MS punch around the card and I found some ribbon in my stash which matched the papers perfectly!  I'd like to enter my card in the 'Passion for Promarkers challenge which is 'to die for'.

Buttons and string!

Hello again crafters,

This is a card I made for a man's Birthday - I always find male cards so hard to do!  I heard someone say once that when you make a male card, swap the flowers for buttons and swap ribbon for string, so that's what I try and do!  The papers are from Hot Off The Press and I coloured the image with my Promarkers.  I used my PC to create the text and added a few extra truffles here and there.
I would like to enter my card in the Passion for ProMarkers challenge which is "button it up".
Thanks for looking,
Hugs, Karen xx

Relax!!

Hi Crafters

I made this Welsh card for a friend's 40th Birthday and used my new favourite colour - aqua!  I had some WOC roses that I've been trying to use on my cards for ages and with the bath, I just thought this colour would be perfect!  I've used my First Edition papers 'Isabelle' and a digi image called 'Alyssa relaxing' from Digi Stamp Boutique.  I found a heart pin which was a perfect match, the charm is a make up bag and the leaves are a cheery lynn die.  I added stickles to the bubbles to finish it off!
I'm entering this card in the I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge - What's your favourite colour?
Thanks for looking
