Buttons and/or bows

Hi crafters,
Hope you've all had a good week and are ready for a brand new challenge at Passion for Promarkers.  I'm hosting the challenge this week and I've chosen the nice and easy theme - 'Buttons and/or bows'.  If you're anything like me I like to add a button on most of my cards so I'm sure you'll be able to join in with the challenge this week!  There's a brilliant prize of a £10.00 voucher to spend at Digi Stamp Boutique who are our kind sponsors for this week.  They have some gorgeous images in their online store so you'll have a great time spending your prize!

We were lucky enough to have an image to play with from their store and I've used 'Sketchy Flower Frames'  which was great to colour in with my promarkers!

My polka dot papers were still out after my last card so I went with the polka dots again!!  I had a go at doodling around the card as well to carry on the effect from the frames.  I liked it so much I even doodled around the sentiment!  I added a couple of buttons to the corners as well as a bow on one of the flower stems. I also added a couple of enamel dots as it just needed something else in the space.
There's some ribbon in the centre of the card but I managed to almost cover it up completely.
It would be great if you could join in with my challenge this week.  Don't forget, you can enter any of your creations - it doesn't have to be a card.  Just make sure you use your promarkers and of course, follow the theme.
I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.
Hugs, Karen xx

Animals

Hi crafters,
I hope you're all having a lovely Easter break and managed to find some time for crafting!  There's a great new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Jacky has chosen a nice easy theme for us - 'Animals'.  We are kindly sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images form their online store.
                                                      Crafty Sentiments Designs
This is an amazing prize and their images are all absolutely gorgeous!  I'm sure you all have a stamp or a digi that would suit this challenge so please join in and be in with a chance of winning this amazing prize.
We were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with and I chose this one which is called 'Stanley - Heart Wrapped Up',
I've made this card ready for my husband for our Wedding Anniversary which is at the end of this month.  I really wanted to try and colour in the image using black as I've seen some great examples of people's work lately and so I had a go!  The sentiment is from one of Lisa's CD's which was absolutely perfect for this image.  I added a white gel pen to the ribbon to continue the dotty theme and coloured the backing card in the same red as the heart so it matched perfectly!
I could only add a couple of banners and buttons as this is for hubby and I really had to try hard not to add anything else!!  Should I have put some die cut corners on the card or some more hearts?  I felt as though it needed something else but I walked away and left it as a CAS card!
This is a side view showing his lovely shiny nose which I did with a touch of glossy accents.
Well thanks for dropping by and I look forward to visiting your blogs to see your gorgeous creations.
Remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  As always to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course follow the theme.
See you soon.
