Bunnies and/or blooms

 Hi crafters,

Our lovely Lisa G has chosen the theme for the brand new challenge at Passion for Markers this week and Lisa would love to see your creations with bunnies and/or blooms.  A great theme I'm sure you'll agree and we are kindly sponsored by Uniko Stamps who are offering the lucky winner 1 stamp set (which must be in stock).

I used a House Mouse stamp that I haven't used for ages and made a Welsh New Baby card.
It's not a great photo unfortunately but I coloured the image with my promarkers and added lots of glitter!  The background is embossed with a stitched embossing folder which you can't really see and I added a few extra heart diecuts.  I stamped the sentiment onto the circle die cut - it's so much easier with a stamping platform, it gives you the confidence to stamp anywhere on your card without fear of ruining the whole thing!!
A few corner dies and a lovely pink ribbon was the finishing touch - I'm just sorry about the awful photo.
Anyway, I hope you're able to find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge.  Don't forget, you can use any type of marker - just remember to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this amazing prize.
See you soon!
Hugs, Karen x

Soft Finishes

Hi crafters,

Hope you're all doing OK,  I'm here to let you know about the brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Linda has given us the great theme of 'Soft Finishes'.

We are kindly sponsored by Colour of Love and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from the online store.  The digis available are all absolutely amazing so you'll be spoilt for choice with this prize!

The Design Team were lucky enough to choose one of their gorgeous digis to work with and I used 'Cosmos' for my card.

I coloured the image with my promarkers and then masked the digi to create the clouds in the background,  This is my first attempt at this technique but I've seen so many cards recently with clouds that I had to have a go!  I used Weathered Wood distress ink and a blending brush and was quite pleased with the result - may even have another go soon!
I wanted the image to be the main focus of the card so all I added was a gorgeous ribbon and a button on the bow.  I also added a touch of glitter on her wings and the sentiment was a freebie with a recent magazine.
I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge and remember, you can use whatever markers you have - just remember to follow the theme to be eligible for this week's great prize.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x

Feminine

Hi crafters,

It's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Kitty has given us the fab theme of 'Feminine'.

We are kindly sponsored by JMC Designs and they are offering the lucky winner 1 digital collection from their online store.  A fantastic prize as all their digis are just gorgeous!

The Design Team were kindly given one of their images to play with and I have used this one called 'Poppy' on my card.
I coloured this fab image with my promarkers and paper pieced the body with the same polka dot paper as the flowers - just to have everything co-ordinated!  I cut an aperture and put some nice feminine paper behind it and then fussy cut the image before mounting onto the card.  I diecut the sentiment twice in order to make it stand out and also embossed the backgrounsd card.  I diecut a frame for the aperture and added some matching ribbon with a pearl slider.

Well I hope you can find some crafty time to enter this week's challenge and don't forget, you can use any of your markers for your creation - just make sure you follow the theme to be eligible for this week's great prize!
Thanks for dropping by and I'll look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations on your blogs.
Hugs, Karen x

Celebrations

Hi Crafters,

It's my turn to choose this week's theme for the brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and I've gone with 'Celebrations'.  Nice and easy as it could be a creation for a Birthday, New Baby or any special occasion!

We are kindly sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs and they are offering the winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

We were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with this week and I chose 'Stanley Bear Happy Days'.
I coloured the image with my Promarkers to match my papers and added lots of glitter to the bubbles!  I added a small heart cut from one of the papers to the bottle and also found a little wooden bottle to add to the card,  The cork was a freebie die from a Craft magazine which I thought was perfect!!  The centre of the flower is a button I found in my stash which was a great match!  Some pearls and the stamped sentiment were the finishing touches to my card.
I really hope you can find some crafty time this week to join in with my challenge.  Don't forget, you can use any type of marker on your creation and as long as you follow the 'Celebrations' theme, you'll be in with a chance of winning this great prize!
I look to forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x

Buttons and/or Bows

 Hi crafters,

I'm back to let you know about the brand new challenge at Passion for Markers which has been chosen by our lovely Elaine.  She has given us the fab theme of 'Buttons and/or Bows' and we are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

We were lucky enough to have one of their gorgeous images to work with this week and I've used this one which is called 'Wild About Flowers'
I coloured the image with my Promarkers and added lotos of glitter to the flowers in her hair,   I found some lovely co-ordinating flowers and added lots of lovely buttons.  This challenge was an easy one for me as I love adding buttons to my cards!!
Well I hope you'll be able to play along with this week's challenge and don't forget, you can enter any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  The only rule we have is that you have to use your markers, for example – Promarkers, Copics, Spectrum Noir, Karin Brushmarkers, Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to name just a few.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations!
Hugs, Karen x

Fave Colour Combo

Hi ,Crafters,

I'm sure you've seen the exciting news regarding the challenge blog at Passion for Promarkers.  If not, I'll just let you know that the challenges are now open to ALL types of markers!  We love our promarkers of course but realise that a lot of crafters love to use their Copics, Spectrum Noirs, Zig markers, Karin markers etc. so whatever type of marker you use - you will be very welcome at our challenges from now on!

We therefore have a new name and a brand new logo at Passion for Markers which our lovely Lisa has designed.

The brand new challeng for this week has been chosen  by our lovely Nat and she has given us the fab theme of 'Fave colour combo'.  We are kindly sponsored by Star Jam Lines and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

The Design Team were lucky enough to have one of their images to use for this week's challenge and I've used this one entitled 'Gnome with a Heart'.

This card was for my nephew so I used my favourite masculine colours of blue, grey and white.  This little gnome was so cute and really easy to colour in which was great!  I cut some grey polka dot paper into a banner shape and added a couple of red diecuts to look like hinges on the grey wood paper!  Some enamel dots and blue ribbon were the finishing touches - oh, and a teensy little bit of glitter!!  This was being posted so I couldn't add too much to my card!
I really hope you can join in with this week's challenge - don't forget you can use any of your markers now and just use your (current!) favourite colours to be eligible for this week's great prize!
Hugs, Karen x

We are interrupting you this morning with some exciting news regarding our challenge blog.  We have decided from the first challenge on 5th January 2021 we will be opening our challenges to ALL types of markers.  We of course still love our promarkers but we have to move with the times and we know lots of crafters love their Copics, Spectrum Noirs, Zig markers, Karin markers and lots more so whatever type of marker you use you will be welcome at our challenges from January 2021.

To make our challenge more visible we are going to update and refresh our name to ‘Passion for Markers’ and will have a new blog header and badges which are amazing and designed by our very own design team member Lisa M.  We can’t wait for you to see them.  Nothing else will change, the challenges will still be every Tuesday morning at 9am, the design team will continue to make amazing creations to inspire you each week, our generous sponsors are still supporting our challenges with their fantastic prizes and we will remain a friendly, happy part of blogland to brighten your world each week.

We hope you will continue to support our challenges as you did in 2020.  We want to spread the word of the changes to our challenge so we would love it if you pop over to Facebook and share this post.  As a thank you we will be putting all the names of everyone who shares the post into a hat and the lucky winner will win a £10 voucher to whichever craft store they wish (or if you prefer a 10€ or $10 to a craft store in Europe/US).  You must share the original post on the Passion for Promarkers Facebook page (this will change to Passion for Markers very soon).

Don’t forget you still have a few more days to enter our Mega Christmas challenge with a chance to win one of the awesome prizes we have up for grabs so please use the linky here (only 3 entries per person please and only promarkers allowed for this last challenge).
