Buttons and/or Bows

 Hi crafters,

I'm back to let you know about the brand new challenge at Passion for Markers which has been chosen by our lovely Elaine.  She has given us the fab theme of 'Buttons and/or Bows' and we are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

We were lucky enough to have one of their gorgeous images to work with this week and I've used this one which is called 'Wild About Flowers'
I coloured the image with my Promarkers and added lotos of glitter to the flowers in her hair,   I found some lovely co-ordinating flowers and added lots of lovely buttons.  This challenge was an easy one for me as I love adding buttons to my cards!!
Well I hope you'll be able to play along with this week's challenge and don't forget, you can enter any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  The only rule we have is that you have to use your markers, for example – Promarkers, Copics, Spectrum Noir, Karin Brushmarkers, Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to name just a few.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations!
Hugs, Karen x

Fave Colour Combo

Hi ,Crafters,

I'm sure you've seen the exciting news regarding the challenge blog at Passion for Promarkers.  If not, I'll just let you know that the challenges are now open to ALL types of markers!  We love our promarkers of course but realise that a lot of crafters love to use their Copics, Spectrum Noirs, Zig markers, Karin markers etc. so whatever type of marker you use - you will be very welcome at our challenges from now on!

We therefore have a new name and a brand new logo at Passion for Markers which our lovely Lisa has designed.

The brand new challeng for this week has been chosen  by our lovely Nat and she has given us the fab theme of 'Fave colour combo'.  We are kindly sponsored by Star Jam Lines and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

The Design Team were lucky enough to have one of their images to use for this week's challenge and I've used this one entitled 'Gnome with a Heart'.

This card was for my nephew so I used my favourite masculine colours of blue, grey and white.  This little gnome was so cute and really easy to colour in which was great!  I cut some grey polka dot paper into a banner shape and added a couple of red diecuts to look like hinges on the grey wood paper!  Some enamel dots and blue ribbon were the finishing touches - oh, and a teensy little bit of glitter!!  This was being posted so I couldn't add too much to my card!
I really hope you can join in with this week's challenge - don't forget you can use any of your markers now and just use your (current!) favourite colours to be eligible for this week's great prize!
Hugs, Karen x

We are interrupting you this morning with some exciting news regarding our challenge blog.  We have decided from the first challenge on 5th January 2021 we will be opening our challenges to ALL types of markers.  We of course still love our promarkers but we have to move with the times and we know lots of crafters love their Copics, Spectrum Noirs, Zig markers, Karin markers and lots more so whatever type of marker you use you will be welcome at our challenges from January 2021.

To make our challenge more visible we are going to update and refresh our name to ‘Passion for Markers’ and will have a new blog header and badges which are amazing and designed by our very own design team member Lisa M.  We can’t wait for you to see them.  Nothing else will change, the challenges will still be every Tuesday morning at 9am, the design team will continue to make amazing creations to inspire you each week, our generous sponsors are still supporting our challenges with their fantastic prizes and we will remain a friendly, happy part of blogland to brighten your world each week.

We hope you will continue to support our challenges as you did in 2020.  We want to spread the word of the changes to our challenge so we would love it if you pop over to Facebook and share this post.  As a thank you we will be putting all the names of everyone who shares the post into a hat and the lucky winner will win a £10 voucher to whichever craft store they wish (or if you prefer a 10€ or $10 to a craft store in Europe/US).  You must share the original post on the Passion for Promarkers Facebook page (this will change to Passion for Markers very soon).

Hi crafters,

Last week, we  launched our very special “Mega Christmas challenge”at Passion for Promrkers which ends on 5th January 2021!   As the Design Team take a little break, there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs for the winners!

Our very simple theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “add a sentiment”.  We don't mind what you create for this challenge, as long as you include a sentiment on your creation!  You are welcome to make Christmas creations but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.  Please can you help us by stating which Letraset products you have used on your creation i.e. ‘coloured with promarkers’ etc.  Thanks x x

Wow we are sure you’ll agree our sponsors have been super generous once again this year!

I dug out an old Penny Black Stamp called 'Royal Mail' and coloured it with my Promarkers

I wanted the post box and the hedgie to be the focus on my card so I decided to use just red, black and grey for the image and kept the background white,  I diecut stitched squares and embossed two of them with a snow embossing folder.  I diecut some poinsettias and used ny grey promarker tio colour the card while it was still in the die.  I finished the card off with some red enamel dots and a stamped sentiment.  Oh, and lots of glitter of course!!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations over the next couple of weeks.

I'd also like to wish you all a lovely Christams and let's hope 2021 is a better year for us all!

'Christmas'

 Hi crafters

There's a great new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers this week.  Linda has given us the fab theme of 'Christmas' - a great excuse to add to your Christmas makes as these weeks are certainy flying by!!

We are kindy sponsored by Clearly Besotted Stamps and they are offering the lucky winner a £20 voucher to spend in their online store- such a great prize!

I've used a digi I bought last year and never got to use until now!  It's called 'Garden Party' and it's so cute!!

It was great fun colouring this one - only had to colour the hats and noses!!!  Lots of glitter was added to the hats and I found some lovely sparkly ribbon to wrap around the card.  Some die cut leaves and a poinsettia were added to the corner and a couple of snowflakes here and there.  This could be a good one to batch make - I should have made a few of them while I was at it!!

It would be great if you could enter your Christmas creations in this challenge.  Remember to use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products to be eligible for the prize and of course, follow the theme!

I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creation.

Hugs, Karen x

Add a Tag

Hi crafters.

I hope you are all keeping well!  These weeks are flying by aren't they - can't believe we're in the middle of November already!

Well it's also time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and our lovely Kitty has chosen the fab theme of 'Add a Tag'.  We are kindly sponsored by Leann's World 101 this week and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digis from their online store.

The Design Team were lucky enough to have one of their gorgeous images for our cards this week and I chose this one called 'Rudy'.

I decided to create a little scene on a tag so I coloured Rudy in with my promarkers and had fun adding die cut trees and creating a snowy landscape!  These die cuts were also inked and glittered.  I stamped the leaves with a stamp which was a freebie in a magazine and glittered these as well! I added some red berries and a gingham ribbon to the tag and also added a pom pom trim along the bottom.  I embossed the background with a snowy embossing folder  and added a couple of snowflakes and holly to finish off.  Well that's another Christmas card done anyway - just need to make a lot more now!!
I hope you're able to join in with this week's challenge.  I'm sure, like me, you're finding crafting a great way to forget about everything going on the world at the moment.
Don't forget, to be eligible for the prize draw, you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course follow the theme.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x
