'Make us smile'

Hi crafters,
Hope you are all doing OK!  I'm back in work now so I'm going to miss my crafty days!  Crafting really did help during lockdown though and I hope it's been helping you all too!
Hopefully you'll find some crafty time to join in with a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers.  Our lovely Linda has given us the fun theme of  'Make us smile' and we are kindy sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps who are offering the lucky winner a $12.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Bugaboo

The Design Team were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with this week and I chose this gorgeous image called 'Sunbonnet Flowers'

I've coloured her with my promarkers and added lots of glitter! I came across these papers during a recent stash tidy up and I'm trying really hard to use these papers so I don't buy any more!!!
I die cut some flowers and coloured them in to match those on the image.  I diecut a tag shape and I've inked all the edges with some distress ink.  I also got my sewing machine out and stitched around all the edges.  I've forgotten how nice this looks so you'll probably see a lot more stitching on my cards - especially as the sewing machine has been dusted down and will stay out for a bit now!!
I thought the sentiment tied in with the theme for this week and shows that you don't have to use a funny image for this week's challenge - happy thoughts will make you smile just as much!
Well thanks for dropping by and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations this week.  Just remember to use your Letraset products and of course, follow the theme!
See you soon,
Karen x

Flowers and Pearls

Hi crafters,
I hope you are all doing OK.  I'm here to let you kow that there is a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and our lovely KItty has given us the lovely theme of 'Flowers and Pearls'.
We are kindly sponsored by The Paper Shelter and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.   Their images are amazing and the Design Team have all used the same image from their store this week - it's amazing how 1 image can look so different!
The Paper Shelter
The image we all used is called 'Tulips' and I really enjoyed colouring this in with my Promarkers.
I wanted her to be the main focus of the card so I actually kept it clean and simple!  Not like me at all!!  I found some lovely papers whilst having a recent tidy up and coloured the image to match this paper.  I added some pearls to the centre of the flowers on the paper and added some enamel dots just to break up the white a little bit.  Some diecut banners at the top stopped it from looking too bare and then I stopped before adding anything else!!
Have a look at the Design Team cards too - she looks so different in all their cards!
Well I hope you're able to find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge.  Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card.  Remember as always to be eligible for the prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course, follow the theme.

A Celebration

Hi Crafters,
It's my turn to choose the theme for this week's challenge at Passion for Promarkers and I've gone with 'A Celebration' - nice and easy!  Could be a Birthday, Anniversary, New Baby - absolutely anything and don't forget, it doesn't have to be a card - just make sure you use your Letraset products!
We are kindly sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.  The design team have all used one of their images this week so you have an idea of some of the fab digis they have.

Crafty Sentiments Designs

I've used one of their images entitled 'Little Friends' - isn't she cute!
I used a layout from a recent workshop we did on Zoom!  I was getting major withdrawal symptoms and missing our Saturday morning workshops with the girls and then Lisa arranged a Zoom meeting for us all - it was fab!
I was also running out of layout ideas so this was perfect timimg for my card!  I used some papers I found after a recent sort out and decided to use a completely different colour combo for a change!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and edged all the papers with Walnut Stain distress ink.  I added some diecut flowers and leaves which I also coloured with my promarkers, some ribbon and of course, glitter!
I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations soon!

Di's Digi Stamps
Di's Digi Stamps - $6 voucher.

I've made something a bit different for me this week!  I was lucky to receive some new stamps for Mother's Day recently and was determined to have a go and use them!  I had a play with some inks too and here's what I came up with:
I stamped the image and coloured it with my promarkers.  I then inked some colourful clouds behind the image and also created the sun shape with inks,  I stamped some mushrooms and a dragonfly to create a little scene and added plenty of glitter to the stream as well!  I practised stamping the sentiment on a piece of scrap card which had ink on it but liked the effect so much I used it on my card!  The semtiment stamp was a freebie from a magazine and I thought it was perfect with the image!
I added spotty paper, some coordinating flowers and some pearls to finish off the card.
I haven't made anything like this before but I really enjoyed it and will definitely be making more, especially as the craft shop which sells these stamps is just down the road from me (Lavinia Stamps)!!
I really hope you'll be able to join in with this challenge.  Thanks to our kind sponspors, the prizes are amazing and well woth winning.
Don't forget to use your Letraset products and follow the theme and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.

Baby Projects

Hi crafters
Hope you are all OK and finding time to craft during these difficult times - I certainly find it helps take your mind off things.
There's a new challenge for you at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Elaine would like to see your Baby Projects.   We are kindly sponsored by Colour of Love and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digis from their online store.  I love their images and I have used one of them on my card this week.

Colour of Love
I've used their image entitled 'Sleepy Lamb Agnes' and this is so useful for those baby projects.  It could be coloured in pink or blue to suit and I think it looks sweet in lemon yellow too!

I seem to be enjoying yellow and greys at the moment and thought these colours would suit this welsh 'New baby card'.  I found some lovely yellow gingham paper from my stash (which I have recently organised into 1 box!) and some grey spotty paper which you can just about see!
I punched some white flowers and used peel off dots for the centres instead of pearls (just incase) and added the lovely heart banner at the top.  I also embossed the background and added a bit of glitter here and there!  This image is fab and will definitely get used a lot!
So why not join in with this week's challenge.  Remember, to be eligible for the prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products (promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers or metallic markers) and of course follow the theme.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen xx

Animals

Hi Crafters.
Hope you're all doing OK and getting through your crafty list!  I'm getting there but not quite finished!  I've still got some felting projects that I want to get the hang of so I'm looking forward to learning a new craft.
There's a brand new challenge for you over at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Natalie has given us the fab theme of 'Animals'.  We are very kindly sponsored by The Paper Shelter who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

The Design Team were all kindly given an image from the Paper Shelter this week entitled 'Ducklings'.  It's so cute!

I coloured the image with my promarkers - colouring in is so therapeutic at the moment isn't it - takes your mind off everything.
I've been having a bit of a tidy up with my flower stash and these fell out of the box - the perfect colours to match the image!!  I added some spotty papers, a die cut border and some pink ribbon - and lots of glitter of course!
I think I might use this layout again - handy for those scraps of paper I always keep!
Well I hope you can join in with this week's challenge,  Don't forget to use your promarker products and follow the theme - it could be an animal image or papers, even a diecut or embellishment.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen xx

Clean and Simple

Hi crafters,
I hope crafting is helping you all through these difficult times.  I think it definitely helps to take your mind off any worries that we have and helps you keep busy.
With that in mind, we have a great new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers this week.  Our lovely Lorraine has set the theme of 'Clean and Simple' and we are kindly sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps who are offering the lucky winner a $6.00 voucher to spend in their fab online store.

Di's Digi Stamps

Well Clean and Simple cards can be a challenge and it's good to come out of our comfort zones sometimes! It's so tempting to add a ribbon here and some glitter there and maybe some flowers as a finishing touch!  But here is the card I came up with anyway.
The stamp is a freebie from a recent magazine and I used the masking technique to place the flowers and leaves where I wanted them.  I coloured them with my promarkers and added the sentiment with my stamping platform which makes stamping onto your finished card so much easier!!
I added a few enamel dots and then walked away before adding anything else!!
It would be great if you could join in with this week's challenge.  Don't forget to use your promarkers and of course, follow the theme and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen xx
