Fave Colour Combo

 Hi crafters,

It's my turn in the hot seat this week at Passion for Markers and I've chosen the theme of 'Fave Colour Combo'.  I know we have a different favourite regularly so I'm looking forward to seeing all your creations for this challenge!

We are kindly sponsored by Clearly Besotted who are offering the lucky winner a £15 voucher to spend in their online store.

This is a Welsh New Baby card I've made for a friend in work.

I used an old DSB image and went with a yellow and white colour combo as it's one of my favourites - especially for a new baby card!
I coloured the image with my promarkers and also colored the cute dies with the same yellow marker to make sure they matched.  I embossed the background and inked all the edges.  I've left a gap (hopefully) so that I can add the name of the baby to personalize the card and make it a bit more special.

I hope you can join in with this week's challenge.  Don't forget you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize!
I look forward to visiting your blogs!
Hugs, Karen x

Happy Birthday

Hi crafters,

There's a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Elaine from Team 2 has given you the theme of ‘happy birthday’.  Elaine has given you a super easy theme this week, make a creation for a birthday !  We hope you’ll have fun and can’t wait to see what you create this week. Please remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card, but whatever you make you must include a hand coloured image to be eligible for our prize draw. So come on, grab your markers, and have fun!

Our generous sponsor this week is The Paper Shelter who sadly have now closed their store.  The prize on offer therefore is the image that the DT were given to use called 'A Curious Cake' which is perfect for birthday cards.

This is the card I created this week.

I coloured the image with my promarkers and added lots of glitter and white highlights here and there!
I used an arch shaped diecut as I thought it looked like a cake dome?!!  I found some matching papers and also used a swirly embossing folder for one of the layers.  I wrapped a ribbon around the centre and finished off with some coloured pearls.
I hope you can find time to join in with this fab challenge and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations!
Hugs, Karen x

Furry friends/animals

 Hi crafters,

This week's challenge over at Passion for Markers has been set by our lovely Wendy from Team 2 and she has given you the theme of ‘furry friends/animals’ to inspire you.  Wendy would like you to include a furry friend or any animal on your creations this week; it can be your focal image, your patterned paper, ribbon or even die cuts; just remember your entry must include a hand-coloured image to be eligible for the prize draw.  You can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card!

We are kindly sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps and Di is offering one lucky winner a £6.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

I made this card at a recent workshop and this image is so cute!!

I coloured the image with my promarkers and added some glitter here and there!  I found some matching papers and layered them onto kraft card as it matched my colour scheme!
I added an LOTV sentiment and added some doodling to the base card,

I hope you can join in with this week's fab challenge and don't forget, you can use any of your markers - just let us know what you've used in the comments.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x

 Hi crafters,

Our lovely Nat has chosen the fab theme of 'Dots and/or Stripes' for the challenge this week over at Passion for Markers.

A great theme don't you think and we are kindly sponsored by Polkadoodles who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

I've used one of their gorgeous images on my card this week and this one is called 'Flower Fairy Winnie daisy'

I coloured the image with my promarkers and added some polka dot to her dress.  I found some coordinating paper with stripes and dots so decided to use them both!
I added an LOTV sentiment and some enamel dots and stamped a birthday sentiment inside the card.

I hope you can join in with this week's fab challenge.  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this week's great prize!

See you soon!

Hi crafters,

There's a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers which has been set by Kitty from Team 2 and she has given you the theme of ‘no square or rectangle cards’ to inspire you this week.  We would love to see shapes such as circles, ovals, stars, whatever your creativity can think of.  We can’t wait to see what you make, just remember your entry must include a hand-coloured image to be eligible for the prize draw; so grab your markers and get colouring!

Our generous sponsor this week is Sheepski Designs and they are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice (the store is currently closed but the winner will be sent a link so that they can choose their images).  All of the DT have used images from Sheepski Designs on their creations this week so pop over to the website to have a look!

I've used one of their gorgeous images for my card this week and this one is called 'shopping in Yorkshire'

I coloured the image with my promarkers and paper pieced the umbrella, adding some shade here and there with my markers.  I diecut some flowers and leaves and added a bit of lace to the strip.  I inked the edges and added an LOTV sentiment to finish off the card!

I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this challenge this week.  Sometimes it's easier to go with square or rectangle cards so it's good to try and do something different every now and then!!

See you soon,
Karen x
