Hi crafters,

Last week, we  launched our very special “Mega Christmas challenge”at Passion for Promrkers which ends on 5th January 2021!   As the Design Team take a little break, there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs for the winners!

Our very simple theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “add a sentiment”.  We don't mind what you create for this challenge, as long as you include a sentiment on your creation!  You are welcome to make Christmas creations but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.  Please can you help us by stating which Letraset products you have used on your creation i.e. ‘coloured with promarkers’ etc.  Thanks x x

I dug out an old Penny Black Stamp called 'Royal Mail' and coloured it with my Promarkers

I wanted the post box and the hedgie to be the focus on my card so I decided to use just red, black and grey for the image and kept the background white,  I diecut stitched squares and embossed two of them with a snow embossing folder.  I diecut some poinsettias and used ny grey promarker tio colour the card while it was still in the die.  I finished the card off with some red enamel dots and a stamped sentiment.  Oh, and lots of glitter of course!!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations over the next couple of weeks.

'Christmas'

 Hi crafters

There's a great new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers this week.  Linda has given us the fab theme of 'Christmas' - a great excuse to add to your Christmas makes as these weeks are certainy flying by!!

We are kindy sponsored by Clearly Besotted Stamps and they are offering the lucky winner a £20 voucher to spend in their online store- such a great prize!

I've used a digi I bought last year and never got to use until now!  It's called 'Garden Party' and it's so cute!!

It was great fun colouring this one - only had to colour the hats and noses!!!  Lots of glitter was added to the hats and I found some lovely sparkly ribbon to wrap around the card.  Some die cut leaves and a poinsettia were added to the corner and a couple of snowflakes here and there.  This could be a good one to batch make - I should have made a few of them while I was at it!!

It would be great if you could enter your Christmas creations in this challenge.  Remember to use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products to be eligible for the prize and of course, follow the theme!

I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creation.

Hugs, Karen x

Add a Tag

Hi crafters.

I hope you are all keeping well!  These weeks are flying by aren't they - can't believe we're in the middle of November already!

Well it's also time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and our lovely Kitty has chosen the fab theme of 'Add a Tag'.  We are kindly sponsored by Leann's World 101 this week and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digis from their online store.

The Design Team were lucky enough to have one of their gorgeous images for our cards this week and I chose this one called 'Rudy'.

I decided to create a little scene on a tag so I coloured Rudy in with my promarkers and had fun adding die cut trees and creating a snowy landscape!  These die cuts were also inked and glittered.  I stamped the leaves with a stamp which was a freebie in a magazine and glittered these as well! I added some red berries and a gingham ribbon to the tag and also added a pom pom trim along the bottom.  I embossed the background with a snowy embossing folder  and added a couple of snowflakes and holly to finish off.  Well that's another Christmas card done anyway - just need to make a lot more now!!
I hope you're able to join in with this week's challenge.  I'm sure, like me, you're finding crafting a great way to forget about everything going on the world at the moment.
Don't forget, to be eligible for the prize draw, you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course follow the theme.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x

Go Dotty

 Hi crafters.

I've chosen the theme for this week's challenge at Passion for Promarkers and I've gone with the theme 'Go Dotty'.  You can use dotty papers, add dots when colouring or they can be dotty embellishments - a nice and easy challenge.

We are kindly sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps and they are offering the lucky winner a $6.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

I love using dotty papers and I've gone with a black and yellow theme for my card.  I don't normally use black when colouring but I felt it was needed for her wings.
I used a layout that we used in one of our workshops and all the papers have been edged with distress inks.  I also added some dots on her wings with a white gel pen.  I added lots of glitter  after colouring her with my promarkers but the photo doesn't pick that up!  I die cut some flowers and coloured them with distress inks and added a black gem to their centres.  I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and got the heat gun out - I've seen this on a lot of cards lately so I decided to give it a go!
I really hope you can find some crafty time to enter this week's challenge.  Don't forget, it doesn't have to be a card - just remember to use your Letraset products and follow the theme.

We are also looking for new members to join the Design Team to start in the new year.  If you are interested, if you could add DT to your names that would be great.  It's a fab design team to be a part of so why not join in with the fun!

I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations on your blogs.
Hugs, Karen x

Use a die/punch

 Hi crafters,

Hope you are all keeping well.  We have a great new challenge for you this week at Passion for Promarkers and our lovely Elaine would love to see your creations using a die/punch.

We are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's HOS this week and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digis from their online store.  They have a fantastic selection to choose from and you'll be spoilt for choice with this fab prize!

The Design Team have all used one of their brilliant images this week so have a look at their gorgeous creations for some great ideas!
I have used this image called 'Best Seat in the House'

I decided to create a scene that looked like a front room with the backing papers as the wallpaper!! I coloured the image with my promarkers and this dog is just fab!   I printed a lamp from one of Lisa's CD's and added some matching paper to the lampshade,  The sentimemt is also from the CD and I tried to make it look like a picture on the wall!  I don't know whether I succeeded but that's what I had in my mind anyway!!
A couple of die cut stars and a corner die were the finishing touches to this masculine card which I was quite pleased with - something a bit different anyway!!

Well I  hope you have some crafty time to be able to join in with this week's challenge and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.

Hi crafters,

It;s time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week. Nat has given us the fab theme of 'hobbies/pastimes'.  Nat would like to see your creations featuring hobbies and pastimes that you  (or whoevr you are making the card for!) enjoy.

We are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up stamps and they are offering one lucky winner 2 digi images of their choice from their online store.

We were lucky enough to have one of their fab images to use on our cards this week and I made this one for my niece who has just started at Leeds University,  She just loves to read and so this image called 'Time to read' was just perfect to make her a Good Luck card!

I found some lovely papers to use from my stash and coloured the image with my promarkers with coordinating colours.  I diecut the flower from the same papers and added some white leaves go with it.  Some gingham ribbon and some enamel dots were the finishing touches to my card - I also added the University logo to make it a little bit more special!

Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  Remember as always to be eligible for the prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products (promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, aqua markers or metallic markers) and of course follow the theme.

Wedding/Anniversary/Love

 Hi crafters,

Our lovely Linda has chosen the theme for the brand new challenge at Passion for Promarkers this week.  Linda would love to see your Wedding/Anniversary/Love creations - nice and easy as it covers so many occasions!

We are kindly sponsored by Bugaboo and they are offering the lucky winner a  $12.00 voucher to spend in their online store.  All the Design team have used one of their images to give you some inspiration for the prize you could win!

I made a card for my brother and sister-in-law's Wedding Anniversary using 'Love Blocks Two Hearts' - such a cute image with a sentiment included!
Those cute birds were coloured with my promarkers and I added lots of glitter on the swrirls!  I die cut all the flowers and used my oxide inks to colour the centres.  The leaves were also coloured with my promarkers so that everything co-ordinated.  The papers were from my stash and I added some twine behind the flowers to give some texture.  This is another photo showing how the card looked when opened.

I hope you'll be able to join in with this challenge - crafting certainly helps to take your mind off things and is so good for the soul!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs,
Karen x

It's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Kitty has given us the fab theme of 'Autumn.Fall'.

We are kindly sponsored by Dies to Die For and they are offering the lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Dies to Die For

I couldn't wait to try out some new stamps that were a freebie with a magazine and perfect for making a card with an Autumn theme!!

I stamped a variety of leaves as well as a pine cone and even some mushrooms and coloured them with my promarkers.  I also added a couple of Tim Holts Wild Flower dies and also coloured them to match my theme.
I stamped a text on the background and added some orange distress ink to show behind the bouquet,  I then stamped the sentiment onto some velum and wrapped it around the card front.  A bow and some enamel dots were the finishing touches to my card!  This was something a bit different for me and I hope you like it!
Please join in with our challenge this week - it's such a great prize and you just need to use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course, follow the theme.

Crafty Sentiments Designs

I've used one of their gorgeous digis called 'Couples' for my Anniversary card.

I loved colouring this image with my promarkers - these little bears are so cute!  I used a layout from one of our workshops (which I really miss!!) and found some matching papers in my stash.  The flowers are all diecut and I punched out the leaves from the same card.  A stamped sentiment and some glitter here and there were the finishing touches as well as the little bow, of course!

I hope you can find some time to join in with this week's challenge.  Don't forget to use your Winsor and Newton products (formely Letraset) and follow the theme.

Flower Power

Hi crafters,

Hope you are all keeping well and finding that crafting is still helping during these strange times.

I'm certainly crafting quite a bit at the moment as I'm not going anywhere!  So thank goodness I've got my crafting to keep me busy.

There's a brand new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Elaine has given us the fab theme of 'Flower Power'.  Nice and easy as I don't think I make many cards without flowers!!

We are kindly sponsored by Cowling & Wilcox who are offering the lucky winner a 3 pack of Neon Markers & bleedproof pad.

Cowling & Wilcox

This is a card I made for a colleague in work who's just had their first baby.  I've used one of my favourite New Baby stamps and this one is from LOTV.

The papers are also from an LOTV paper pad and I've coloured the image with my promarkers and a bit of chalk for the rosy cheeks!  I've added lots of glitter too and I diecut lots of flowers and leaves. I added some chalk to the centre of the flowers as well - looked a bit more delicate for a baby card.
I printed the baby's name and weight on the computer in Welsh and cut it out using a heart shaped die - just makes the card extra personal.
Well I hope you're able to join in with this week's challenge,  Don't forget to use your Letraset products and of course, follow the theme!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.

Hi Crafters,
Well I don't know where July went to but we're certainly flying through this year aren't we? Let's hope we get some more sunny weather soon too!
It's also time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Nat has given us the fab theme of  'Girl Power'.
We are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.  Their images are absolutely gorgeous and all the Design Team have used one of their digis on their cards this week.
All Dressed Up stamps
The image I've used is entitled 'Pretty Lashes'.

I absolutely loved colouring this in with my promarkers and decided to give my card a bit of a vintage feel!  My sewing machine was still out so I decided to stitch around the layers.  I added some diecut bunting and also inked all the edges with distress inks.  I found some flowers to go with the colour scheme and added a touch of glitter here and there!
I hope you'll be able to join in with this week's challenge.  Remember to use your Letraset products and of course, follow the theme,
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.

Another week flies by and it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!  Our lovely Lorraine has given us the fab theme of 'Animal Antics' and we are kindly sponsored this week by Cowling & Wilcox who are offering the lucky winner a 6 pk of Promarkers (rich tones).

Cowling & Wilcox
This is a card I've made for my sister's Birthday and she absolutely loves hedgehogs so I thought this image would be perfect for her!
I've seen so many of these hedgie images lately so I dug out this old stamp again and thoroughly enjoyed colouring it with my promarkers.  I used some chalk for their rosy cheeks and added lots of glitter! I punched a couple of borders and found some fab gingham ribbon too.  I printed the sentiment on my computer and added a couple of diecut flowers.
My sister loved her card and I also made her a hedgie cushion as her present!

'Make us smile'

Hi crafters,
Hope you are all doing OK!  I'm back in work now so I'm going to miss my crafty days!  Crafting really did help during lockdown though and I hope it's been helping you all too!
Hopefully you'll find some crafty time to join in with a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers.  Our lovely Linda has given us the fun theme of  'Make us smile' and we are kindy sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps who are offering the lucky winner a $12.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Bugaboo

The Design Team were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with this week and I chose this gorgeous image called 'Sunbonnet Flowers'

I've coloured her with my promarkers and added lots of glitter! I came across these papers during a recent stash tidy up and I'm trying really hard to use these papers so I don't buy any more!!!
I die cut some flowers and coloured them in to match those on the image.  I diecut a tag shape and I've inked all the edges with some distress ink.  I also got my sewing machine out and stitched around all the edges.  I've forgotten how nice this looks so you'll probably see a lot more stitching on my cards - especially as the sewing machine has been dusted down and will stay out for a bit now!!
I thought the sentiment tied in with the theme for this week and shows that you don't have to use a funny image for this week's challenge - happy thoughts will make you smile just as much!
Well thanks for dropping by and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations this week.  Just remember to use your Letraset products and of course, follow the theme!
See you soon,
Karen x

Flowers and Pearls

Hi crafters,
I hope you are all doing OK.  I'm here to let you kow that there is a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and our lovely KItty has given us the lovely theme of 'Flowers and Pearls'.
We are kindly sponsored by The Paper Shelter and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.   Their images are amazing and the Design Team have all used the same image from their store this week - it's amazing how 1 image can look so different!
The Paper Shelter
The image we all used is called 'Tulips' and I really enjoyed colouring this in with my Promarkers.
I wanted her to be the main focus of the card so I actually kept it clean and simple!  Not like me at all!!  I found some lovely papers whilst having a recent tidy up and coloured the image to match this paper.  I added some pearls to the centre of the flowers on the paper and added some enamel dots just to break up the white a little bit.  Some diecut banners at the top stopped it from looking too bare and then I stopped before adding anything else!!
Have a look at the Design Team cards too - she looks so different in all their cards!
Well I hope you're able to find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge.  Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card.  Remember as always to be eligible for the prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course, follow the theme.

We are kindly sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.  The design team have all used one of their images this week so you have an idea of some of the fab digis they have.

Crafty Sentiments Designs

I've used one of their images entitled 'Little Friends' - isn't she cute!
I used a layout from a recent workshop we did on Zoom!  I was getting major withdrawal symptoms and missing our Saturday morning workshops with the girls and then Lisa arranged a Zoom meeting for us all - it was fab!
I was also running out of layout ideas so this was perfect timimg for my card!  I used some papers I found after a recent sort out and decided to use a completely different colour combo for a change!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and edged all the papers with Walnut Stain distress ink.  I added some diecut flowers and leaves which I also coloured with my promarkers, some ribbon and of course, glitter!
I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations soon!

Di's Digi Stamps - $6 voucher.

I've made something a bit different for me this week!  I was lucky to receive some new stamps for Mother's Day recently and was determined to have a go and use them!  I had a play with some inks too and here's what I came up with:
I stamped the image and coloured it with my promarkers.  I then inked some colourful clouds behind the image and also created the sun shape with inks,  I stamped some mushrooms and a dragonfly to create a little scene and added plenty of glitter to the stream as well!  I practised stamping the sentiment on a piece of scrap card which had ink on it but liked the effect so much I used it on my card!  The semtiment stamp was a freebie from a magazine and I thought it was perfect with the image!
I added spotty paper, some coordinating flowers and some pearls to finish off the card.
I haven't made anything like this before but I really enjoyed it and will definitely be making more, especially as the craft shop which sells these stamps is just down the road from me (Lavinia Stamps)!!
I really hope you'll be able to join in with this challenge.  Thanks to our kind sponspors, the prizes are amazing and well woth winning.
Don't forget to use your Letraset products and follow the theme and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.

Baby Projects

Hi crafters
Hope you are all OK and finding time to craft during these difficult times - I certainly find it helps take your mind off things.
There's a new challenge for you at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Elaine would like to see your Baby Projects.   We are kindly sponsored by Colour of Love and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digis from their online store.  I love their images and I have used one of them on my card this week.

Colour of Love
I've used their image entitled 'Sleepy Lamb Agnes' and this is so useful for those baby projects.  It could be coloured in pink or blue to suit and I think it looks sweet in lemon yellow too!

I seem to be enjoying yellow and greys at the moment and thought these colours would suit this welsh 'New baby card'.  I found some lovely yellow gingham paper from my stash (which I have recently organised into 1 box!) and some grey spotty paper which you can just about see!
I punched some white flowers and used peel off dots for the centres instead of pearls (just incase) and added the lovely heart banner at the top.  I also embossed the background and added a bit of glitter here and there!  This image is fab and will definitely get used a lot!
So why not join in with this week's challenge.  Remember, to be eligible for the prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products (promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers or metallic markers) and of course follow the theme.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen xx
