Furry friends/animals

 Hi crafters,

This week's challenge over at Passion for Markers has been set by our lovely Wendy from Team 2 and she has given you the theme of ‘furry friends/animals’ to inspire you.  Wendy would like you to include a furry friend or any animal on your creations this week; it can be your focal image, your patterned paper, ribbon or even die cuts; just remember your entry must include a hand-coloured image to be eligible for the prize draw.  You can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card!

We are kindly sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps and Di is offering one lucky winner a £6.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

I made this card at a recent workshop and this image is so cute!!

I coloured the image with my promarkers and added some glitter here and there!  I found some matching papers and layered them onto kraft card as it matched my colour scheme!
I added an LOTV sentiment and added some doodling to the base card,

I hope you can join in with this week's fab challenge and don't forget, you can use any of your markers - just let us know what you've used in the comments.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x

A great theme don't you think and we are kindly sponsored by Polkadoodles who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

I've used one of their gorgeous images on my card this week and this one is called 'Flower Fairy Winnie daisy'

I coloured the image with my promarkers and added some polka dot to her dress.  I found some coordinating paper with stripes and dots so decided to use them both!
I added an LOTV sentiment and some enamel dots and stamped a birthday sentiment inside the card.

I hope you can join in with this week's fab challenge.  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this week's great prize!

Hi crafters,

There's a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers which has been set by Kitty from Team 2 and she has given you the theme of ‘no square or rectangle cards’ to inspire you this week.  We would love to see shapes such as circles, ovals, stars, whatever your creativity can think of.  We can’t wait to see what you make, just remember your entry must include a hand-coloured image to be eligible for the prize draw; so grab your markers and get colouring!

Our generous sponsor this week is Sheepski Designs and they are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice (the store is currently closed but the winner will be sent a link so that they can choose their images).  All of the DT have used images from Sheepski Designs on their creations this week so pop over to the website to have a look!

I've used one of their gorgeous images for my card this week and this one is called 'shopping in Yorkshire'

I coloured the image with my promarkers and paper pieced the umbrella, adding some shade here and there with my markers.  I diecut some flowers and leaves and added a bit of lace to the strip.  I inked the edges and added an LOTV sentiment to finish off the card!

I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this challenge this week.  Sometimes it's easier to go with square or rectangle cards so it's good to try and do something different every now and then!!

See you soon,
Karen x

'Anything Masculine'

Hi crafters,

The new challenge at Passion for Markers has been chosen by our lovely Elaine from Team 2 and she has given us a theme of ‘anything masculine'. As the title suggests, Elaine would like you to make something for a man or boy this week.  We know male creations are difficult, and they are not our favourite things to make, but we always need them so come on take the plunge and join in the fun.  Please remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card, but whatever you make you must include a hand coloured image to be eligible for our prize draw. So come on, grab your markers, and have fun!

We are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a prize of 1 digi image of their choice from their online store.  Most of the DT have used images from Dr Digi's HOS on their creations this week.

I have used this fab image from HOS called 'Mr Speaker (birthday)'

I coloured Mr Speaker with my Promarkers and fussy cut him out.  I placed him in front of a diecut circle and found some co-ordinating papers in my stash.  I wrapped some twine around one of the layers and added some diecut stars too!  Some enamel dots finished off the card!

I hope you can find time to join in with this week's great challenge.  Remember you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize.
See you soon!

Don't be Square

 Hi crafters,

There's a fab new challenge over at Passion for Markers!  Our lovely Nat has chosen the theme 'Don't be Square' and we are very kindly sponsored by Leann's World 101 who are offering the lucky winner 2 digi images from their online store.

The Design Team were lucky enough to have some of their images to play with and I've used this one called 'Bookworm'.

I've made this for my son's girlfriend and she loves green and blue!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and added some text around her!  I also stamped and embossed in white some more script on the blue background and I was really pleased with how it turned out!

I found some lovely vintage papers and added a green ribbon over a die cut border.
The sentiment says ' Birthdays are like a good book.... and inside - Each year is a new chapter'
She loves reading as well so I thought this image would be perfect for her and I hope she likes it!

I hope you can join in with this week's challenge and remember, you can use any of your markers.  Just make sure you follow the theme and have fun!

Thanks for popping by and I'll see you soon,

Ribbon and/or lace

 Hi crafters,

It's time for a new challenge at Passion for Markers and it has been set by our lovely Kitty who has given us the theme of ‘ribbon and/or lace'.

We hope you’ll have fun and can’t wait to see what you create this week.  Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card; the only rule we have is to use your markers and have fun!

RAM Stamps are sponsoring this week's challenge and they are offering the lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend in their online store.  They have some gorgeous images and the Design Team have used some on their cards this week to inspire you.

I have used one of their images and this one is called 'giraffe and bird'.

I really enjoyed colouring this image with my promarkers and also found some co-ordinating papers for this Welsh 'New Baby' card.  I dicut some flowers and inked all edges with some distress inks.  I coloured the swirls with my markers to match the colours I'd used in the image and added some matching ribbon on the edge of the frame.
A button and bow were added to the corner and I found the perfect colour pearls in my stash for the flower centres!
I'm really happy with this card and I'm going to make some baby girl cards too by changing the bird and embellishments to pink!
I hope you can join in with this fab challenge and don't forget you can use any of your markers but remember to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this great prize!

Add some bling

 Hi crafters,

There's a new challenge over at Passion for Markers which has been set by our lovely Elaine from Team 2 and she has given us the super easy theme of 'add some bling'. Elaine would simply like you to make a creation that includes some type of bling on it e.g. gems, stickles, glittery card, sequins etc.

Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card.  Just remember your entry must include a hand-coloured image to be eligible for the prize draw; so grab your markers and have fun!

Our generous sponsor this week is Clearly Besotted Stamps and they are offering one lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

I made an Engagement card for my niece!  They were on a lovely beach whilst on holiday and when Lucy turned around from looking at the sea, her boyfriend had gone down on one knee and proposed!  It was so romantic that I wanted the card to remind them of this very special moment!  I hope it does anyway!

I tried the eclipse method that I've seen so much of lately and coloured the bears with my promarkers to match the sunset colours,  I added some bling in the form of glitter and pearls and personalised the card with their names!
I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this week's fun challenge and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations!
Hugs,

Christmas

 Hi crafters,

The new challenge over at Passion for Markers this week has been chosen by our lovely Wendy and she has given us the super easy theme of 'Christmas'. Wendy would like you to simply make a Christmas themed creation this week.

Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card.  Just remember your entry must include a hand-coloured image to be eligible for the prize draw, so grab your markers and have fun!

Our generous sponsor this week is Lili of the Valley stamps and they are offering one lucky winner 4 digi images of their choice from their online store.  All of the DT have used images from Lili of the Valley on their creations this week.

I've used one of their images and this is called 'Christmas mouse house'

It's such a sweet image so I wanted it to be the focal point of my card. I therefore just added some plain embossed squares behind the image to match the colour scheme.  I coloured some diecut holly and berries to match and added some bunting to match those in the image!
I added lots of glitter and finished the card with an LOTV sentiment.
Hopefully this will kickstart my Christmas card making now so if you want to do the same, why not join in with this fab challenge!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x

Spots and/or stripes

 Hi crafters,

This week's challenge over at Passion for Markers has been chosen by our lovely Nat and she would love to see your creations with spots and/or stripes this week.

We are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 images from their online store.

I've used one of their fab images on my card this week and this one is called 'Dunderton Decorators Ltd'

I coloured the image with my promarkers to match the scraps of papers I added behind him. (I hoped they'd look like wallpaper samples as he's decorating!!)  I added some doodling to my card and inked all the edges with distress ink.
I stamped the text to finish off the card.
I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with our challenge this week.  Remember, you can use any of your markers but you must follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

Fun Folds

 Hi crafters,

There's a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Kitty has given us the fab theme of 'Fun Folds'.  There's so many different types of folds you can use on your cards so this should be a lot of fun.

We are kindly sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps who are offering the lucky winner a £6.00 prize to spend in their online store.

I made a Welsh Engagement card and it's an easel card, which is quite tricky to photograph!!

I've used an image from LOTV and coloured it with my promarkers.  The flowers were diecut with an enamel dot added to the centres.  I kept the colour scheme quite neutral as I love pink, grey and white.  I added their names and a sentiment and a few heart shaped gems.

I hope you have fun with this challenge and can’t wait to see what you create this week.  Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card; the only rule we have is to use your markers and have fun!

See you soon,
Karen x

Favourite Colours

 Hi crafters,

It's my turn in the hot seat at Passion for Markers this week and for this week's brand new challenge, I've chosen the theme of 'Favourite Colours'.  Nice and easy this week as I'm sure you all have your favourite colour combo!

We are kindly sponsored by Colour of Love and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

I've used one of their gorgeous images on my card this week and this one is called 'Rory's hollyhocks'.
Quite a few of the Design Team have used this image on their cards too this week so pop over to Passion for Markers for some more amazing inspiration!

My favourite colour combo (well, one of them anyway!) is brown, cream and pink.  I've added my layers onto kraft card and used a postage die set for the frame shapes.  I coloured the image with my promarkers and added some glitter here and there!  I coloured the flower to match and added some LOTV sentiment tags.  All the edges were inked too!
I hope you are able to join in with this fun challenge this week.  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize!
I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous creations!

Anything floral

It's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Elaine has given us the fab theme of 'Anything Floral'.

We are kindly sponsored by Sheepski Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

I've used one of their gorgeous images on my card this week.  This one is called 'Daisy Panel'.
I coloured the image with my promarkers and then did some masking so that I could stamp a text stamp behind the image.  I also inked a pinky background to make the flowers pop!  I added a mount with kraft card and finished off with some enamel dots.  I then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in the corner of the card!
I hope you are able to join in with this nice and easy challenge this week!  Remember, you can use any of your markers but don't forget to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning a price.
