'Anything Masculine'

Hi crafters,

The new challenge at Passion for Markers has been chosen by our lovely Elaine from Team 2 and she has given us a theme of ‘anything masculine'. As the title suggests, Elaine would like you to make something for a man or boy this week.  We know male creations are difficult, and they are not our favourite things to make, but we always need them so come on take the plunge and join in the fun.  Please remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card, but whatever you make you must include a hand coloured image to be eligible for our prize draw. So come on, grab your markers, and have fun!

We are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a prize of 1 digi image of their choice from their online store.  Most of the DT have used images from Dr Digi's HOS on their creations this week.

I have used this fab image from HOS called 'Mr Speaker (birthday)'

I coloured Mr Speaker with my Promarkers and fussy cut him out.  I placed him in front of a diecut circle and found some co-ordinating papers in my stash.  I wrapped some twine around one of the layers and added some diecut stars too!  Some enamel dots finished off the card!

I hope you can find time to join in with this week's great challenge.  Remember you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize.
See you soon!
Hugs, Karen x

Spring Flowers

Hi crafters,

Our lovely Wendy has chosen the fab theme of 'Spring Flowers' for this week's challenge over at Passion for Markers.

We are kindly sponsored by Uniko Stamps who are offering 1 product of winner's choice (must be in stock)

I've made my Mum's card ready for Mothering Sunday and I've used this gorgeous image from LOTV called 'Delightful Daisies'

I coloured the image with my promarkers adding glitter and white highlights here and there!  I found some daisy paper in my stash and also diecut some flowers to match those in the image.
A sentiment and some pearls finished off the card.

I hope you can find time to join in with this fab challenge this week.  remember, you can use any of your markers - just remember to follow the theme and have some fun!
See you next time!

Hugs, Karen x

Don't be Square

 Hi crafters,

There's a fab new challenge over at Passion for Markers!  Our lovely Nat has chosen the theme 'Don't be Square' and we are very kindly sponsored by Leann's World 101 who are offering the lucky winner 2 digi images from their online store.

The Design Team were lucky enough to have some of their images to play with and I've used this one called 'Bookworm'.

I've made this for my son's girlfriend and she loves green and blue!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and added some text around her!  I also stamped and embossed in white some more script on the blue background and I was really pleased with how it turned out!

I found some lovely vintage papers and added a green ribbon over a die cut border.
The sentiment says ' Birthdays are like a good book.... and inside - Each year is a new chapter'
She loves reading as well so I thought this image would be perfect for her and I hope she likes it!

I hope you can join in with this week's challenge and remember, you can use any of your markers.  Just make sure you follow the theme and have fun!

Thanks for popping by and I'll see you soon,
Hugs, Karen x

Ribbon and/or lace

 Hi crafters,

It's time for a new challenge at Passion for Markers and it has been set by our lovely Kitty who has given us the theme of ‘ribbon and/or lace'.

We hope you’ll have fun and can’t wait to see what you create this week.  Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card; the only rule we have is to use your markers and have fun!

RAM Stamps are sponsoring this week's challenge and they are offering the lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend in their online store.  They have some gorgeous images and the Design Team have used some on their cards this week to inspire you.

I have used one of their images and this one is called 'giraffe and bird'.

I really enjoyed colouring this image with my promarkers and also found some co-ordinating papers for this Welsh 'New Baby' card.  I dicut some flowers and inked all edges with some distress inks.  I coloured the swirls with my markers to match the colours I'd used in the image and added some matching ribbon on the edge of the frame.
A button and bow were added to the corner and I found the perfect colour pearls in my stash for the flower centres!
I'm really happy with this card and I'm going to make some baby girl cards too by changing the bird and embellishments to pink!
I hope you can join in with this fab challenge and don't forget you can use any of your markers but remember to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this great prize!

Fave digi or stamp

 Hi crafters,

It's my turn to host the challenge this week at Passion for Markers and I've chosen 'Fave digi or stamp' as the theme!

Don’t forget you can enter any type of creation it doesn’t have to be a card.  So pull out your favourite markers and get colouring!

We are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images.

I've used one of their gorgeous images on my card this week and this one is called 'Garden Wheelbarrow'

I coloured the image with my promarkers and found some matching papers to add some layers to the card.  I embossed the white background with a brick embossing folder and added an LOTV sentiment.
Some pearls and enamel dots finished off the card!
I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with my challenge this week.  Don't forget you can use any of your markers and make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations!
