Animals

Hi crafters,

It's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Nat has given us the fab theme of 'Animals'.  Nat would love to see your cute critters (including birds) this week. It doesn’t have to be an animal image it could be animal themed patterned paper or an animal die-cut/embellishment as long as you also include a hand coloured image.

We are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images for the lucky winner!

I've used an image from All Dressed Up and this one is called 'Summer Swing'.

I coloured the image with my promarkers with added glitter here and there!  I added strips of backing papers to match the colours I'd used and stamped a sentiment on the side.  I wanted this to be in a CAS style card - handy for posting!  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize!

Birthday Cards

Hi crafters,

This week's challenge at Passion for Markers has been set by our lovely Linda and she's given us the nice and easy theme of 'Birthday Cards'.

We are very kindly sponsored by Rachelle Anne Miller and she is offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digis from the online store.

She has some awesome images and you'll have a great time choosing the winning prize!

The Design Team were lucky enough to use one of her images on our cards this week and I've used this one called 'Birthday Owls'.

I really enjoyed colouring this one with my promarkers!  I added some white gel pen for highlights on the balloons as well as some glitter here and there!  I added a doodle around the image to match the one in the image and some enamel dots were the finishing touches to my card.  I found some co-ordinating papers too and then stopped before I added anything else!  I wanted the image to be the main focus of the card as these owls are too cute!

We are kindly sponsored by Sheepski Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digis from their online store.  The Design Team have all used one of their images on their cards this week for some inspiration - check out their blogs for all the details.

I've used one of their images on my card and this one is called 'My Pad'

This was such fun to colour in with my promarkers and I also added some white pen to create some highlights! I used a layout from a past workshop and chose some black and white papers to contrast against the green.  I coloured the banners with the same green as the frog so they would co-ordinate perfectly and added a computer generated sentiment.  This image is perfect for those tricky male cards I think and I'll definitely be using this chilled out frog a lot!

Fave digi/stamp

 Hi crafters,

It's my turn to host the challenge this week at Passion for Markers and I've chosen the fab theme of 'Fave digi or stamp'.  So I would love to see your creations using your favourite image - as easy as that!

We have a brand new sponsor this week, Connie Fong and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digis from their online store.  They have some gorgeous images to choose from so you'll be spoilt for choice!

I've used one of their images on my card and this one is called 'Bell Rose'.

I've coloured her with my promarkers and added some glitter here and there.  I used a layout from a recent workshop and found some co-ordinating papers.  I made an envelope and added a stamped text card.  I stencilled the background and used the text stamp on the background as well.  I inked all the edges with some brown distress ink and added some flowers by the sentiment which is also from Connie Fong.  You can find them here.  Some glittered butterflies were the finishing touch to my card along with some pearls.

Add a Heart

Elaine is in the hot seat this week at Passion for Markers and she has given us the fab theme of 'Add a Heart' for the brand new challenge!

We are kindly sponsored by Leann's World 101 and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digis as the prize this week.  They have some gorgeous images on their website so you'll have a great time choosing your prize!

I have used one of their images on my card this week and this one is called ''heart fairy'

I coloured her with my promarkers and lots of glitter was added to her wings (of course!).  I got my sewing machine out and added some stitching to all my papers!  Not that you can see it very well though!

  I inked the edges of all my papers and die cuts and added some die cut flowers as well.  I added a banner with a stamped sentiment and some heart die cuts in the corner of the card.  Some pearls here and there were the finishing touch!

For a child

This week's challenge at Passion for Markers has been set by our lovely Nat and she would love to see your creations 'For a child'.   

We are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's HOS and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digis from their online store.  They have a fab choice of digis and all the design team have used one of their images on their cards for some inspiration!

I have used this one called 'Alistair the Alligator' for my card this week and he's just fab!

I coloured him with my promarkers to match my backing papers and he was such fun to colour!  I've used a layout from a workshop and added a few details here and there.  All the papers have been inked with distress inks and I did some stenciling behind Alistair as well!  I did the sentiment on my computer and added a bit of grass to ground him!

Sketch

Happy New Year to you all and I hope you had a lovely break over Christmas!

It's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and this week, we have a great sketch for you to follow.  We are kindly sponsored by Polkadoodles and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digis from their online store.

I've used one of their images on my card and this one is called 'Spring Bunch Gnome'

She was such a fun image to colour with my promarkers and I also added some white highlights here and there.  I followed the sketch exactly and chose co-ordinating papers to match my colour scheme.  I added some card candy and some pearls as the finishing touches.
