Favourite Colours

 Hi crafters,

I'm here to let you know that there is a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Elaine has chosen the theme 'Favourite Colours'.  If you're like me, you have a new favourite every week so this challenge is nice and easy!

We are very kindly sponsored by Polkadoodles and they are offering the lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice from their online store.

This is a card I made for my eldest son who's favourite colour has always been orange!

He has a couple of funny seagulls permanently living on the flat roof next to his house so I thought this image was perfect!!
I coloured the image with my promarkers and fussy cut and decoupaged them onto the card.  I used a layout from a recent workshop and used water and distress inks to create the splodgy background!  I found some black and orange card from my box of off cuts and added a couple of die cut clouds.  A personalised sentiment and some black enamel dots were the finishing touches to my card.

I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge at Passion for Markers.  Remember, you can use any of your markers but you must follow the theme to be eligible for this fab prize.

See you soon!
Hugs, Karen x

Mythical Creatures

 Hi crafters,

Another week flies by and a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers!  Our lovely Nat has chosen the theme for us and she would love to see your creations with 'Mythical Creatures'.

We are kindly sponsored by Leann's World 101 who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.  They have some gorgeous images and the Design Team have used some of their images on their cards this week.

I've used this one called  'Adriana' on my card and I really enjoyed colouring this gorgeous image.

I coloured her with my promarkers and added lots of glitter to her tail!!  I then fussy cut her out and used foam pads to add her to the card. I used a layout from a previous workshop and die cut some ferns and even a seahorse which you can just about see!!!  The seahorse and sentiment were both freebies from a recent card magazine.  I also stencilled some bubbles behind the image to add to the sea theme!
I hope you can join in with this week's challenge,  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers - just remember to follow the theme to be eligible for the prize!
See you next time!
Hugs, Karen x
