Use a Die

 Hi crafters,

Well January is certanily flying by and it's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers.  Our lovely Nat has chosen this week's theme which is 'Use a die' - nice and easy as I don't think I make many cards without using a die these days!

We are very kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2  digis from their online store.  This is a fabulous prize as all their images are absolutely gorgeous.

We were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with this week and I've used this one called 'Hedgehog Flower'.

This is a Birthday card for my sister and she absolutely loves hedgehogs so this image was just perfect for her card!  I coloured the hedgie with my promarkers and added lots of glitter to the flower centres.  I found some co-ordinating paper for the top of the card and used a couple of dies for the fancy border.  I also die cut a flower and some leaves and added card candy for the centre.  I also dotted some card candy next to the image and in the corner as it just needed something!!  I printed the text on my computer and used a banner die shape to cut it out.
I also made another card as I loved the image so much!!

This is a layout we used at one of our workshops and I found some cream and blue papers to match my little hedgehog!  There were quite a few die cuts on this card including the lace border, the flowers and the circle dies.
Well I  hope you are able to join in with this fun challenge as well.  Remember, you can use any of your markers - just don't forget to follow the theme to be eligible for this week's great prize.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs,
Karen x

Hi crafters,

A very Happy New Year to you all!  Hope you had a lovely Christmas and managed to find some time for crafting!!

Everything seems to be getting back to normal now and it's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers.    Our lovely Lisa G has chosen the theme of 'January blues' and would love to see shades of blue on your creations this week.

We are kindly sponsored by Dies to Die For and they are offering the lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

I've made a card for my friend just to say 'Hello'.  We used to meet for coffee and lunch regularly for a good catch up but since the Covid pandemic, we haven't been able to meet sadly.  So I made this card for her to wish her a Happy New Year and update her on a few things - just like we would if we met up!

I used an anemone stamp that was a freebie with a magazine last year and used my promarkers to colour them as accurately as I could!  I used a layout from one of our workshops and chose some dotty blue paper for the background.  I inked some blue leaves behind the flowers using a stencil and added a lot of glitter!!  Some enamel dots and punched butterflies were the finishing touch to my card.

I hope you are able to join in with this fab challenge.  Remember you can use any of your markers on your creations, just don't forget to follow the theme to be eligible for this great prize.

Hugs, Karen x
