Flower Power

Hi crafters,

It's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and I've chosen this week's theme of 'Flower Power'.  I love adding flowers to my card, whether they're die cut, on backing papers or punched flowers - I hope you'll be able to play along too!  We are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

I've used one of their gorgeous images on my card this week and this one is called 'Cuddly Critters - Squirrel'

I've coloured the image with my markers and used my prismacolour pencils to get the fur effect on the tail!  I inked and die cut the flowers to match the backing papers as well as some punched leaves.

I added a pearl to the centre of the flowers and the sentiment was a freebie from a craft magazine. I cut round the sentiment and added it to the card on foam pads - a technique that our lovely Lisa taught us in our workshops!

Well I really hope you'll be able to join in with this week's challenge.  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers - just remember to follow the theme to be eligible to win this fab prize!

I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations and I'll see you soon.

Hugs, Karen x

Make it Cute

 Hi crafters,

Our lovely Elaine is in the hot seat at Passion for Markers this week and Elaine has given us the fab theme of 'Make it cute'.

We are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up and they are offering this week's lucky winner a choice of  2 digi images from their online store.  They have some absolutely gorgeous images and you'll be spoilt for choice with this fantastic prize.

I've used one of theit images on this Birthday card for my niece and this one is called 'Dream Catcher'.

I coloured the image with my promarkers and found some dco-ordinating papers in my stash.  I inked the edges with distress ink and also stamped some text around the image,

I used a layout from a workshop - it is a side easel card but I'm afraid it was impossible to get a good photo of it!!

Some glitter, pearls and a charm were the finishing touches to my card!

Well I hope you can join in with this week's challenge.  You can use any of your markers but don't forget to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize.

Hugs,

Karen x
