Keep it Slim

Hi crafters,

Hope you are all having a good week so far!  I'm here to tell you about our brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers which has been chosen by our lovely Lisa G.   She would like to see your slimline creations this week and we are kindly sponsored by Dr Digi's HOS who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

The Design Team were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with this week and I chose this one called 'Hole in One Hal'

My brother is golfing mad so this image is perfect for his birthday card!

I used my distress inks and a cloud stencil to create the sky and I used a wavy border stencil to create the golfing greens!  I didn't want the image to be lost in backing papers so I was very brave and made my own background!!  I diecut a couple of extra clouds and added some birds with a fineline pen.  The sentiment was stamped and I die cut the letters to personalise the card.  I even embossed the card candy to look like golf balls but I don;t think it shows in the photo!

I enjoyed making this shape card - they seem to be very popular at the moment so why not join in with this week's fab challenge.  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers - just let us know what you've used and make sure you follow the theme to be eligible for this great prize.
I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.
Hugs, Karen x

Masculine

 Hi crafters,

It's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Linda has given us the fab theme of 'Masculine'.  We are kindly sponsored by Colour of Love and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images form their online store.

I've used one of their images called 'Ten Gallon Ted' for my card this week.

I've used a layout that we had at a recent online workshop (thanks Lisa!) and I coloured the image with my promarkers.  I matched the colours with the papers and added dots to his scarf with a white gel pen so that it matched the dotty paper!  Here's a picture of the card from the side so that you can see the layers a bit better.

I also printed a sentiment from one of Lisa's CD's which matched the colours on the card perfectly!

I hope you can find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge.  Remember, you can use any of your markers - just make sure you follow the theme to be eligible for this fabulous prize.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeois creations.
Hugs, Karen x
