An 18th Birthday celebration!

Hi crafters,
Sorry it's been so long since my last post,  don't know where the time has gone!
Anyway,  I'm back with a card I made for an 18th Birthday.  I coloured in this Saturated canary image with my promarkers and it took me ages to get the hair right lol!

I cut the card with a Go Kreate die,  and added some WOC flowers and a few more die cuts! I added glossy accent to the wine glass and tied a corkscrew charm in the corner!
I'd like to enter my card in the Passion for Promarkers
Challenge 326 - 'Mega Christmas challenge'Theme - let's celebrate!
Thanks for looking and I'll see you again soon,

Oldies Anniversary!

Hi crafters,
I've made this card for my Mother and Father-in-law's Wedding Anniversary this week.   I used one of Lisa's early card kits called 'The Oldies ' and decoupaged the image and added a bit of glitter here and there, which you can just about see I hope!
I added some lace and ribbon,  punched some flowers which matched her headscarf and added pearls to the centres.
Luckily, they absolutely loved it!
I've used this image quite a bit and it's a real favourite!  I'd like to enter my card in the Creative Inspirations challenge which is 'Sparkle '.
Thanks for looking and I'll be back again soon.

Birthday notebooks!

Hi crafters,
I've been meaning to make these gifts for ages and actually got round to it this week.
These are for my niece's who have their Birthdays on the same day (2 years apart) which is always a bit tricky! So I decided to decorate a notebook each for them.

I've used Saturated Canary images for them both and coloured them with my promarkers.  I struggled a bit with the hair,  need to practice a bit more I think lol. I added lace,  buttons,  flowers and pearls and a bit of glitter to the letters.
I hope they like them and at least they can use them instead of being kept in a drawer as a card would be!

I'd like to enter my creations in this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge which is ' Lots of layers'.
Thanks for looking,

Try another piano!

Hi crafters,
I've finally got another card to show you! Haven't done much crafting lately,  I think it's because I've found it hard to concentrate as my first born is leaving the nest to go to Uni tomorrow. I'll probably be crafting a lot after he goes though to keep my mind occupied so that I'm not worrying about him all the time lol!
Anyway,  I made this card for a music teacher who was retiring and I was pleased with how it turned out.

I used a Spellbinders border die for the piano shape, someWOC flowers and some wooden music notes finished off the card.
Thanks for looking and hopefully I'll have some more cards to show you soon, especially as I'll have a desk to use now that No. 1 son is away, hee hee.

Phone cards

Hi crafters,
Long time no see! I've been a terrible blogger lately and I don't know why!
Anyway,  I've got a couple of cards to show you that I've made using Lisa's new CD.
I needed a couple of young  male birthday cards and these images were perfect!
I used the blank toppers which you can add your own text to so it's very useful for Welsh cards!
.
This one needed to be posted so I didn't add anything apart from some Card Candy and some twine!
I added some acetate to the phone which made it look like a proper screen!
I was really pleased with both cards as they were perfect for my nephews.  Adding your own text to the toppers is brilliant and can be done with all the images on the CD.
Thanks for looking and I'll try and be back again soon,
Hugs,
Karen xx

Wedding Card and Candle

Hi crafters,
I've been a bit of a rubbish blogger lately!  A combination of work being manic,  then our family holiday and then a lot of card orders are to blame lol! Anyway,  I'm back with a wedding card I've made and I decided to make a matching candle to go with it!
I've used a digi image from Tiddly Inks called 'You and me' and coloured it with my promarkers.

I also managed to get the names and wedding date on to the candle which I was really pleased about!

The flowers are fromWOC of course, the backing paper is from Maja Design and I've embossed the white card with a heart embossing folder.  I made a box for the card and used my Spellbinders heart die to cut out an aperture. I wrapped the candle in some cellophane to finish it off.
I'd like to enter my card in this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge which is ' summer lovin' .
Thanks for dropping by and I'll try and post again soon. Unfortunately as everything went a bit manic before my holiday I forgot to take photos of all the cards I'd made! Can't believe I did that, so annoying!
Anyway, hopefully I'll have another card to show you soon!

Dad's Shed

Hi lovely crafters,
This is my Father's Day card for this year! My Dad spends hours in his shed and so this digi image from Digistamp Boutique was perfect for him.  It took me ages to colour in all that wood with my promarkers but I really enjoyed it!
I had to add the bees because he's just discovered a nest in his beloved shed lol! So hopefully he'll have a little chuckle at them!
It's an easel style card and I've inked the layers with Tim Holtz Antique Linen and added some die cut grass and greenery along the top.
I'd like to enter my card in the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is ' Masculine'.
Thanks for looking,

Stencilling!

Hi crafters,
I saw a lot of stencilled cards at a recent craft show and thought I'd have a go after treating myself to a new palette knife!
I embossed the background and even attempted a pierced layer. I found matching the corners a bit tricky so I hid them with the black pearls lol!
I added some glitter on the letters and a tassel finished off the card.
I was quite pleased with it really - nice to try a different technique every now and then.
I'd like to enter my card in the Crafting from the heart challenge which is ' Anything Goes '.

Wedding card for doctors!

Hi crafters,
I'm back with a wedding card I was asked to make for a couple who are both doctors! This was a difficult challenge but then I coloured this digi image and left the groom's jacket white to look like a doctor's coat lol! Do you think I got away with it?
I coloured the image with my promarkers although there was only hair and skin to colour in really!
I added my WOC flowers, some punched leaves and I embossed the card behind the image.
I borrowed the layout from Lisa again at Ella's Design  (thanks hun, what would I do without you ) and added the date and names to make the card extra special.
I'd like to enter my card in the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is 'no sentiment '.
I hope you like my card and thanks for looking,
Hugs, Karen xx

Pamper yourself!

Hi crafters,
I bought this stamp ages ago but only just got round to inking it! Don't know why because it was great to colour in with my promarkers!
This card is the same colour scheme as my last card as I had a piece of the Maja Design papers left over! I added a doily and some WOC flowers with a flourish die instead of leaves for a change.  I added some stickles to the bubbles and some lace finished off the card!
I'd like to enter my card in the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is 'Keep calm and chill out ' and Scribble and Scrap Crafts 'Anything Goes '.

Hubby's Card!

Hi crafters,
This was my card for hubby for our Wedding Anniversary this week (omg, 20 years since our special day- can't quite believe it!)
I've made a swing type card that we did at our recent workshop with a topper from Lisa's  'Animal Antics ' CD.
I've used Sue Wilson's pierced fishtail dies, some small wooden hearts and a blue heart brad I found in my stash!
This pic shows how the folds work (hopefully! ).
I'd like to enter my card in the Creative Inspirations challenge which is 'Cute critters'.
Thanks for popping by,

Card for little sis!

Hi crafters,
I've made this card for my sister's Birthday and I tried a different way of colouring with my promarkers.  I've seen some gorgeous images coloured with distress inks and so I tried to get the same effect with my promarkers.  I don't know if I achieved it but I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out!
I've used a Stamping Bella image and a Go Kreate die for the base card. The papers are from Maja Design and I've added some lace,  a doily and some WOC flowers.  I added a charm to the tag which is tucked in behind the image. Some glitter (of course) and some pearls finished it off.
Here's a view of the tag which I've stamped with an LOTV sentiment.

I'd like to enter my card in this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge which is ' Tag you're it'.

New Pad!

Hi crafters,
I made this for my nephew who's just bought his first house with his girlfriend.  I thought this image from Lisa's CD ' Animal Antics ' was perfect!
I printed off one of the toppers, added some glitter and some glossy accent to the eyes- it brings the animal to life I think!
I made some more of those punched flowers (told you I'd be making lots of these didn't I lol). I found some matching ribbon in my stash and added some dragonflies which I chalked in green to go with my little frog!
I'd like to enter my card in the Crafting from the heart challenge which is ' Anything Goes '.

All about Birthdays

Hi crafters,
I'm back with a Welsh 18th Birthday card I made after being inspired by a layout used by Lisa at Ella's Design, I think we've used it in our workshop too.
I coloured my image with my promarkers and added glitter here and there! I made the flowers with a punch and added chalk to the centres - I love making these and will be using this technique a lot as they are so handy if the cards are being posted.  The polka dot buttons matched the dotty paper and I embossed the white backing card too. Some pearls and ribbon were the finishing touches and the job was done!
I'd like to enter my card in the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is 'All about Birthdays'.

Birthday Owl

Hi crafters,
I made this card for my eldest who's a real nature lover and this image from Lisa's CD was perfect.  I used the same layout as the pre designed card that's on the CD but changed the background papers for more masculine colours - all still from the Cd 'Animal Antics '.
You can just about see the glossy accent on his eyes I think and I added some glitter to the stars. You can add the text onto the owl which is a brilliant addition to the CD's, especially for Welsh cards!
I added some matching buttons,  something I tend to do with male cards I've realised!! Oh well, better than flowers I suppose!
I'd like to enter my card in the Scribble and Scrap challenge which is ' Anything Goes '.
Thanks for looking,
Hugs, Karen xx

Ooh, I made this the other day- my first ever crocheted teacosy!
I'm quite chuffed with myself as I'm still very much a beginner!
Can't wait to make more now and I've ordered my yarn ready lol!

Put your feet up!

Hi crafters,
I'm back with a male birthday card I've made this week and I've decided that male cards are still bloomin tricky! I used my trusted LOTV stamp and coloured it with my promarkers. I did add a tiny bit of glitter on the grass as I felt it needed it!!
I  used some text backing paper to match the newspaper in the image and I also used a text embossing folder. Some matching buttons and some twine finished off the card. The caption says "Put your feet up. ..on your Birthday" in Welsh.
I'd like to enter my card in the Crafting from the heart challenge which is ' Anything Goes '.

A lamb is born!

Hi crafters,
I made this for a friend in work who had a  baby boy recently and this little lamb was the perfect image!  It's a decoupage topper from the Plush Pals Cd by Ella's Design which was glittered, of course, with glossy accent added to the eyes.  The blue backing paper was printed from the Cd as well.
I've used a great layout that we used in our workshop and a few diecuts, ribbon and buttons finished off the card.
I'd like to enter my card in the Sister Act challenge which is Anything Goes.
Thanks for looking,
Hugs, Karen xx

G for 'Girls just wanna have fun'

Hi crafters,
I made this Birthday card and it turned out really pink and girly but I rather like it! ,
I used my favourite stamp and coloured it with my promarkers. I paper pieced their dresses to match the backing papers and added a bit of frantage round the edges. I added some WOC flowers,  some ribbon and lace and a few pearls here and there!
I made a border with my MS punch and a couple of stick pins finished it off (find it hard to part with these for some reason lol!)
Here is a close up of the image showing the frantage round the sides. I also added glossy accent to the wine glasses!
I'd like to enter my card in this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge which is 'Letters of the alphabet'.
Thanks for looking,

Happy Birthday hairdresser!

Hi crafters,
I made this card for my sister in law who, funnily enough,  is a hairdresser! This saturated canary image was perfect for her and I coloured it with my promarkers with a bit of glitter here and there!
I added some WOC flowers,  matching buttons,  a scissor charm and I even tried some liquid pearls for a change!
The border is an MS punch and the butterflies were added to fill a space that I felt just needed something lol! Pearls and ribbon also went on and then I stopped before I found anything else to stick on my card !!
I'd like to enter my card in this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge which is 'Perfect Pearls'.

Especially for ewe!

Hi crafters,
I made this card for a work colleague who is always telling stories about her sheep during our coffee breaks, so I thought this image was perfect for her birthday!
The image is taken from the 'Plush Pals' CD from Ellas Design.  I decoupaged the little lamb, and added lots of glitter around the letters!  I added some jute ribbon and hession flowers I found in Poundland- a bargain! Some wooden hearts also went with the natural theme and the recipient absolutely loved it!

I'd like to enter my card in the Creative Card Crew challenge which is to use glitter and there was plenty on this card!
Thanks for looking,

Piano easel card!

Hi crafters,
I've made something a bit different to show you today.  I made this piano card after seeing some similar ones on pinterest and Lisa from my workshop suggested making it into an easel card which was a brilliant idea!
I embossed the flat part with my music notes embossing folder and added ribbon along the bottom of the grand piano.
The flowers are all from WOC and I added some gold swirls and leaves.  I also added a sentiment and made it look like a music book- well that was the idea anyway lol!

It's tricky trying to take a decent photo of an easel card but here's a pic from another angle.
I'd like to enter my card in the Crafts and me challenge which is to add a ribbon.
Thanks for looking and I'll be back soon with another card I made for the same lady.
Hugs,  Karen xx

Birthday Bear!

Hi crafters,
This is a birthday card I made at the weekend - I felt the need to craft again after our last workshop on Saturday!
I've coloured 'James the bear ' from LOTV with my promarkers and added a bit of shabby pink frantage around the edge of the image.  I used my Go Kreate dies for the card shape and inked around the edges. Some lace and WOC flowers finished off the card.
I'd like to enter my card in this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge which is 'teddy bears'.

Hang on in there....it's just another birthday!

Hello again crafters,
I'm back again with another card! After the Christmas break I've been itching to get crafting again!
I've coloured in this gorgeous digi image with my promarkers and added lots of stickles on the turtle's back! I embossed all the layers then added some lace, ribbon and WOC flowers.
I did the sentiment on my computer and added 'it's just another birthday' on the inside of the card.
I'd like to enter my card in this week's 'sketch' challenge at Passion for Promarkers and the 'Anything goes' challenge at Crafting from the heart'.
Thanks for looking and I'll hopefully be back soon with another card!

Buttons, lace and blooms!

Hello again crafters,
I've got a birthday card to show you made with my favourite girly stamp!
I used my promarkers to colour my image and paper pieced their dresses to match my backing papers. I added some glossy accent to their wine glasses, some lovely WOC flowers, die cut leaves and some glitter of course! Some matching buttons and a row of pearls along the bottom of the card finished it off. I also added a double row of lace behind the ribbon which gives it a lovely girly feel!
I'd like to enter my card in the Passion for Promarkers challenge which is "bingo" and I've used buttons, lace and blooms.
Thanks for looking,

Crafty time at last!

Hi crafters,
Happy New Year to you all!
I finally managed to have an afternoon of crafting and decided to have another go at making a pop up box card as I made a right pig's ear of it when we made one at our workshop!
I followed Lisa's brilliant tutorial on her website and guess what? It was so easy I can't wait to make more of them!
I printed out the backing papers and toppers from Lisa's CD 'Boys 2 Men' and inked all the edges before attaching them to the box, I added some glitter and attached some string from the fish to the fishing rod!
Thanks for the fab instructions Lisa!  I'd like to enter my card in the 'That Craft Place' challenge which is 'Anything goes'.
Thanks for looking,
hugs, Karen xx
